The Nahant was a Passaic-class ironclad monitor of the U.S. Navy that saw service in the American Civil War and the Spanish-American War. She was decommissioned in 1865 but recommissioned at League Island on 12 April 1898 and sent to New York City for harbor defense during the Spanish-American War.
