The Spanish cruiser Isla de Luzon served the Navies of Spain, the United States, the Louisiana Naval Militia and the Illinois Naval Militia. She was damaged and scuttled during the Spanish-American War in the Battle of Manila Bay, Philippines, 1898. The U.S. salvaged, repaired, and commissioned her as gunboat USS Isla de Luzon in 1900.
